Ana Cleveland was born February 1, 1967, in Ramey Air Force Base, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of Larry L. Cleveland, a naval man and of Ana I. Delgado, a teacher. Ana began sewing at a very young age, learning different styles of design and garment construction from both of her grandmothers and from her mother. All of which enjoyed sewing as a skilled craft. After studying at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for Fashion Design, she worked and managed boutiques in South Florida assisting with alterations and some design, but Due to Hurricane Wilma, her family relocated to central Florida. Ana has taught sewing classes, created gowns for pageants, and tailored apparel for children’s theater. She has volunteered for performing arts centers and schools assisting in costume design. She also assists local amatuer fillmakers with designs and costumes for short films. A few years back Ana was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, but she can proudly say with the help of God, she is now a survivor. This last ordeal has impulsed her to pursue an abandoned dream. With support of friends and family she ventured onto her first fashion show, in Orlando called “Summer in Paris” during July of 2014. Her business card reads “Sew U designs”. She can and will design your creations, but now she wants to show her designs to the world!
