Jackson “Jax” Geach, age 12, was born in Suzhou, China and came to the United States when he was 18 months old. He lived his first 18 months in an orphanage and then with a foster family before he met his forever family, parents Anthony and Kerri and sister Cassidy. Soon to be followed by another sister adopted from China, Makenna.
Barely knowing how to walk and knowing few words at that age, it’s amazing all to see all that he has become. At the age of 5, he entered his first talent show in Kindergarten, choosing to sing, “What I’ve Been Looking For” from High School Musical. Having a case of stage fright at the audition he had a change of heart, so he left, but his father had forgotten his phone on the chair and when they went back in he asked if he could try again. He sang it occapella and was asked by the director what it would take to get him on stage for the show. He replied, “a blue balloon.” From there he went on to perform his song to a full theater of 300 people and a standing ovation and of course, a blue balloon. Since then he hasn’t looked back and his love of performing and acting has continued to grow. He is no stranger to the stage.
While a young boy he lived in St. Charles, Illinois, doing musical theater from the age of 5. Cast as Boch in Wicked, Troy in High School Musical, and Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory his confidence grew. When they moved to Florida, he continued performing on larger stages in productions at the Players Theater in Sarasota, cast as Jojo in Suessical, the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, and Mowgli in the Jungle Book. He has also performed at the Cocoa Village Playhouse in Cocoa, FL in their mainstage productions of Oliver and Music Man. Winning a singing competition recently he has never forgotten his love for performing. Wanting to try film and commercial work, Jackson knew it would be a different but satisfying experience so he began taking acting classes and was able to secure Florida and Georgia representation.
He has been working on this part of his craft for two years. Due to his hard work has had many opportunities. He was cast in his first feature film, “One Night of Fear”, as well as two shorts where he was a prinipal, “Sadless” and “Affliction”. Since then he has been cast as supporting roles in the feature films “Timber Rock Kids, The Substitute Spy” with Jasmine Guy (coming to theaters soon) and two films in pre-production “Klawn” and “Transcend”. He has 8 commercials and one television trailer with “Hit Women” added to his resume. At this time he has been cast as Xioalin Wu in an upcoming television series in preproduction, “Big Sky”. He takes everything he is cast in very seriously and loves the challenge of bringing to life each and every character.
Jackson isn’t all about acting, singing and dancing though. Having an older sister with Down Syndrome, he has a special affinity for people with special needs. He, along with his younger sister, assist their father, who is a soccer coach for Cassidy and kids with special needs and Special Olympics Soccer. He feels strongly about giving back to the community in this way. Jackson is very excited about being a Brand Ambassador for the Orlando International Fashion Show. To him, this is another way of performing on a stage. He had a great time being included in their promotional videos and is looking forward to gaining experience walking in a show. He is looking forward to expanding this part of his career. Jackson feels that with hard work and perseverance you can do anything no matter where you come from! See you at the OIFW kickoff!!
